User Vision appoints product ergonomics specialist to meet growing demand for non-web based usability consultancy
Leading user-experience consultancy User Vision has appointed product ergonomics specialist Mark Westwater to the role of usability consultant in order to meet growing demand for non-web based usability consultancy.
Previously a human factors engineer with NCR Financial Solutions Group, Mark brings to the role specialist experience in the areas of product usability and ergonomics—particularly in PDA‘s and mobile phones—a growing market for User Vision as manufacturers increasingly see the value of usability in product design.
Currently studying for an MBA at George Washington University, Mark has a MSc. in Work Design & Ergonomics, a BSc. in Biological Sciences, and has completed several theses and academic papers on product usability and interface design. Mark is a member of both the Ergonomics Society and the British Computer Society Human-Computer Interaction Group.
The appointment comes at a time of significant growth for the company, with several recent blue-chip and public sector client wins in both web and non-web usability consultancy. As well as bolstering its team to service this growth, User Vision will also shortly be opening new headquarters in Edinburgh offering professional laboratory facilities for usability testing and market research.
