User Vision's Mark Palmer will be speaking at the event, his talk "Accessibility Beyond the Guidelines" will cover;

  • Recruiting for disabled testing
  • Challenging our understanding of what is really accessible
  • Unusable accessibility
  • Issues not fully identified by the WCAG guidelines
  • Usability and Accessibility in conflict

Other key speakers at the event include

  • Jim Byrne - Accessible Web Design specialist
  • Nigel Cunningham - Texthelp (Browsealoud)
  • Colin Hamilton - University of Strathclyde
  • Alan White - Freelance Web Developer
  • David Sloan - Digital Media Access Group

User Vision made a tremendous contribution to our site. We didn't expect to learn much from user testing that we didn't already know, but we were completely wrong about that. We received expert advice that was also commercially aware and displayed a real understanding of our business. We have no hesitation in recommending the User Vision team to others.
